July 2024: A Love Rekindled

Austin and Taylor’s love story began long before they even realized it. The two met in middle school, though their paths didn’t truly cross until years later when they reconnected at work in 2020. What started as casual acquaintances blossomed into something more, culminating in a vacation to the Grand Canyon, where Taylor realized she was in love and told Austin for the first time. That trip became the foundation of their shared dreams: balancing their career ambitions with a passion for travel and adventure.

Building a Life Together

As a couple, Austin and Taylor have learned to embrace life’s lighter side, finding joy and fun even in the busiest of times. They’re excited to travel the world together, creating memories while also working toward building a family. “We’ve learned that life can’t be serious all the time,” Taylor shares, “and we’re ready to start our own family and make a life full of love and laughter.”

Choosing Nantahala

For their wedding, Austin and Taylor envisioned an intimate ceremony in the mountains. The remote beauty of Nantahala, with its breathtaking overlook and serene venue, felt like the perfect backdrop for their celebration. “I couldn’t have asked for a better day,” Taylor says, reflecting on how seamlessly everything came together. The simplicity and natural beauty of the setting allowed their love to take center stage.

The Details That Made It Special

Planning their wedding at Nantahala was an effortless experience. Using many of the recommended vendors, the couple assembled a dream team to bring their vision to life. Their favorite vendors included Timeless Carolina’s, whose photography captured every moment beautifully, and Amazing Flowers and Gifts, whose cake and cupcakes were, according to Taylor, “the best I’ve ever had.”

Making the Most of the Mountains

Austin and Taylor turned their wedding into a weekend adventure by extending their stay. They explored the nearby boat launch, renting a pontoon for a relaxing day on the water with friends and family. Others joined in the fun by renting kayaks, and after their time on the lake, the couple discovered nearby hiking trails, adding even more magic to their mountain escape.

Looking Ahead

For Austin and Taylor, their Nantahala wedding was just the beginning of a lifetime of love and adventure. From traveling the world to building a family, they’re ready to embrace whatever comes next—together. Their wedding day, set against the stunning mountain scenery, was a perfect start to their story of joy, connection, and a life well lived.
