Aimee and Sam

Aimee and Sam know what they want: a full life of hard work, nature, and each other. As high school sweethearts, Aimee and Sam’s support for one another has flourished into major accomplishments and a Good Samaritan lifestyle. Aimee just completed her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt University, and Sam was an NOC river guide on the Nantahala River before joining the fire department in their hometown of Jacksonville, North Carolina.

 The river brought them to Nantahala, and the river will be a reminder of their forever flowing love for each other. On a beautiful mountain day, Sam was teaching a course for first responders to qualify them as Swiftwater Rescue Technicians when the two happened to drive by Nantahala Weddings & Events during an autumn wedding in 2017. Soon after, they booked their own wedding for the following year. 

Aimee and Sam’s autumn wedding allowed their guests to soak up the crisp mountain air and bask in the love between the two newlyweds. Thanks to Aimee’s dad (a retired Marine Corps chef) and his fellow Marine Corps chefs, food and some serious dancing energized the party ‘till late in the night! The future holds a treasure chest of adventures for these lovebirds now that they can finally live together.
