Gretchen and Dave – May 2016

It took a lot of planning, but Dave Mayo figured it out. He took Gretchen on a hiking weekend to Nantahala for their tenth wedding anniversary. That’s all she knew. As they approached Wayah Bald he triggered his Bluetooth to play the song they walked down the aisle to …10 years prior! When they reached the tower, their two little daughters descended with bouquets from the tower to embrace their mom. Family and friends then emerged from behind the tower. After renewing their vows on Wayah Bald overlooking spectacular Nantahala National Forest, they celebrated with a feast at Nantahala Weddings & Events.

To top it off, Dave and Gretchen departed soon after for a second honeymoon in Costa Rica. Also a complete surprise. Dave even organized Gretchen’s vacation with her employer.
