Lou Ann came from a family that had to save their money for a long time in order to pay for her braces. The day after she got her braces off, she was in an accident and lost all her teeth. She was dating someone at the time who did not bother to visit her in the hospital, but her friend Ron did. They have been married 50 years, and the whole family came together to witness the renewal of their vows and celebrate with dinner and dancing at Nantahala Wedding & Events.
