Annie and Ryan

Wedding Stories at Nantahala Weddings & Events

Annie and Ryan’s first date was a little unconventional. It started with dinner at Taco Bell and ended with dancing at the University of Cincinnati. Both Ryan and Annie were smitten with each other and began to fall in love.

Together they explored the city. He introduced her to the Cincinnati Zoo, which is now one of their favorite places to go on dates. The zoo is also where they got engaged! They explored Krohn’s Conservatory together, smelling flowers with the butterflies. Together they traveled back in time, conquering the era of Vikings at the Cincinnati Museum Center. And Annie beat Ryan at skeeball many times while at Dave and Buster’s.

Along the way, the two never found a dull moment. Whether it was singing off-key to songs in the car, playing video games at home on their couch, cooking dinner together or even exercising at the gym. They could not get enough of each other. When they got off work, they would call one another on their way home, despite seeing each other in less thirty minutes, they could not wait to be together again.

Ryan and Annie both have tremendous drive, and they inspire each other every day – whether playing a game, going for a job interview, or setting their life’s goals. They enjoy having company over and entertaining friends, so they’re biggest goal is to be able to buy a house one day, settle in, and be able to invite over as many people as they want. Board games at the kitchen table in that house will be a must for all you future guests here today, so keep that in mind if you get an offer for dinner.

Something worth mentioning, is that Ryan never stop’s joking with Annie. For example, when they were getting their engagement photos done, their photographer, Timmy – who is standing here today – told Ryan to kiss Annie on the nose. She closed her eyes and summoned up the cutest expression she could muster, awaiting a sweet little nose kiss. And THEN, instead of kissing her nose, Ryan BIT IT instead. While it was not what Annie originally had in mind for the picture, it turned into a keepsake memory she will cherish the rest of their lives.

Even though most of their adventures now have turned into watching tv at home, curled up with their two cats, they still find each other as exciting as before.
