Marriage License
Process: Bride and groom must go to a county government office in North Carolina to pick up the marriage paperwork. The county government offices closest to Nantahala listed below are open from 8:30 AM thru 4:30 PM Monday thru Friday. Bring photo IDs, social security cards, and $60. They will issue the paperwork you need to get your marriage certificate. Bring the paperwork to your wedding. The officiant, bride, groom, and two witnesses must sign the paperwork. Keep in mind, you have to go back to the same county with the signed docs to get your actual marriage license, either in-person or by mail.
